Carlos Moyano sequences presented by Liz and Yannick, 15 February 2025
Carlos Moyano was not as well known or influential as Antonio Todaro, but was incredibly precise and careful in his movements. His sequences could be described as designed to be difficult to copy. They generally have many unexpected moves.
Sequence

Leader side L: follow side R in close embrace

Leader front R outside: follow back L

Leader front L and cross behind and pivot: follow back R and cross in front. In this step we open with a firm stop to an open embrace, sliding the hands on the back to the edge of the back.

Follow unwind and forward R: leader front L as if a sacada but don’t transfer very much weight.

Leader transfer weight to L to pivot follow on R and bring to americano position, closing the embrace to hip touching hip.

Americano: follow front L, leader front R, crossing L behind to pivot follow.

Follow side R: leader pivots in cross on L to orient for the next step

Leader front R and cross behind L: follow back L

Follow side R, front L, pivot, side R, slight pivot: on the 2nd side step, between pivots, leader pivots on L, keeping the cross

Leader front R outside, follow back L.
Resolution

Leader leads a slight back boleo and changes to L: follow does the boleo and stays on L

Leader back R, follow front R.

Leader pivots follow to be at 90 deg. and back L: follow side L

Leader pivot and side R, leading follow to pivot and cross in back R

With some further pivot, leader crosses L in back, staying on R: follow crosses L in back touching top of foot to R heel. Both dip slightly and pause.
